The Casagrandes (retitled The Casagrandes: Casa-less! for its final season) is an American animated comedy series that is a spinoff of The Loud House. It debuted on October 14, 2019, and was developed by Michael Rubiner.
Summary
Ronnie Anne, her older brother Bobby, and their mother Maria having moved to Great Lakes City, now live with their extended family, the Casagrandes. There, Ronnie Anne meets new friends like Sid Chang and discovers more about the city.
Before the final season, Ronnie Anne, Bobby, Maria, and her father Arturo, got kicked out of the Casagrande apartment building and send back to Royal Woods by an evil uncle Gatoi Casagrande and his brothers.
In the final season, Ronnie Anne and the Santiago family must find the way to get back home to Great Lakes City and reunite their family, so they can defeat Gatoi, with the help of her old friends, Lincoln Loud and his cute big sister Lori.
Why It Rocks
- Amazing animation; just like with The Loud House, uses the cartoony, newspaper comic-esque style nicely.
- The characters originally from TLH are still lovable, and the new characters are great as well.
- Ronnie Anne, Sid Chang, her old friends, Lincoln and Lori are so cute and very charming.
- Catchy theme song that's peppered with some Spanish phrases and words.
- Manages to build on top of existing continuity by introducing new characters.
- Great depictions of Mexican-American culture.
- Excellent writing.
- It became one of the best spin-offs during the worst Disney/Fox era.
- C.J. is a great, well-written portrayal of down syndrome.
- Witty humor, jokes, and slapstick.
- Awesome voice acting, with the biggest highlight being Melissa Joan Hart.
Bad Qualities
- Some jokes can get old very quickly.
- Just like The Loud House, it had toilet humor.
- A few boring episodes, but not too many.
- In one episode, Bobby dabs, which risks dating the episode.
